It can be quite a challenge for consumers to get unbiased, accurate, factual and reliable information about the housing market. When is the last time a real estate agent told you it is NOT a good time to buy and you should be selling instead? Probably never. It just doesn’t happen.

Most of the information is promulgated by persons and groups with a self-serving agenda – their livelihood or purpose is tied to the housing industry. Their products are houses and real estate. Reliable information is not their product. Information is used as a tool to advance the agenda and sell the products. Where it gets confusing for consumers and even industry folks is when the reality is not conducive to further the agenda. Since information is not the product, but only a tool, the information then gets manipulated or spun so it won’t impede advancement of the agenda.

UsHousingMeltdown.org (USHM) was created to provide the facts and the truth about the housing market. Our product is quality information. The agenda at USHM.org is to provide non-biased information and commentary whether the information leads to or supports buying houses and real estate or not. We don’t have houses to sell and we are not tied to the real estate industry for advertising or sponsorship. Our allegiance is to you, our customer – the reader and user of our website. We have a national reach and our agenda can be supported by non-real estate sources without bias one way or the other. This doesn’t mean we won’t accept advertising or sponsorship from the real estate industry when it makes sense. The point is, our product is the information and we’re not tied to it or allied to the real estate or housing industry. The winner in this is you, the consumer or industry person seeking the facts and the truth.
